After almost 100 years in the same family, White House Farm got a fresh start in March 2023, with Paul Isted and Verity Nicholson, 3 dogs, some sheep and a lot of help.

The new era will focus on farming in sympathy with the environment whilst day to day growing and rearing food responsibly and ethically.

Whilst there is lots to do there are some great opportunities as well, do follow our story on facebook and twitter, thank you for your support.

Metal Detecting:

The land has exceptional Roman provenance, with evidence of a road leading directly through the farm, following very closely the route of the footpath.  The river has attracted gatherings throughout the centuries and there was plenty of local activity during the civil war in these parts.

FARMING ENQUIRIES

Spaces to Rent

Some of the yard buildings are becoming available as we clean, paint and patch up.  Enquiries welcome.

Hay and Straw

We regularly have straw and hay available for sale, prices vary and some we keep reserved for horses since the meadows have an excellent mix of grass varieties including plenty of timothy.

Grazing and stabling

Options here vary but it is worth asking, mostly it will depend on how far we have progressed with the fencing work.  At present we are only considering sheep and cattle.

FOR THE FUTURE...

We will be offering exclusive riverside picnic spots too, watch this space, follow our twitter feed, or make an enquiry by phone or email, we will be happy to discuss any opportunity that may be available.
